DESCRIPTION

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

TRUE SS • 427 BIG BLOCK • TREMEC 5-SPEED • 12-YEAR RESTORATION

This is the kind of Chevelle that becomes harder and harder to find.

A true 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, finished in stunning Cranberry Red with black SS stripes, this car was the product of an incredible 12-year restoration and build by its previous owner.

And this wasn't a car he was building to flip.

The gentleman who restored it fully intended for this Chevelle to be his forever car, and that mindset shows throughout the entire build. He was extremely particular, patient and detail-oriented, taking more than a decade to create the car exactly the way he wanted it.

While maintaining the unmistakable appearance and character of a classic 1970 Chevelle SS, he also incorporated several upgrades that weren't on the car's original build sheet—not to change what the car was, but to make it the Chevelle he wanted to own, drive and enjoy.

POWER & DRIVETRAIN

  • 427ci Big Block V8

  • Tremec 5-Speed Manual Transmission

  • 3.73 Rear Gears

  • Flowmaster Exhaust

  • Power Steering

  • Power Brakes

The combination of the 427, manual Tremec transmission and 3.73 gearing gives this car exactly the personality a big-block Chevelle should have. It has plenty of muscle when you want it, while the overdrive transmission makes the car considerably more enjoyable on the highway.

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION

The car wasn't restored simply to look good—it was built to drive properly as well.

  • Detroit Speed Upper Control Arms

  • Detroit Speed Lower Control Arms

  • Upgraded suspension components

  • Performance-oriented stance and road manners

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE UPGRADES

The previous owner added several modern conveniences during the restoration, including:

  • Air Conditioning

  • Power Windows

  • Power Door Locks

  • Power Trunk Release

  • Additional carefully selected upgrades throughout the car

These features were intentionally added during the build and should not be confused with factory build-sheet equipment. We believe in representing these cars accurately: this is a true SS that has been thoughtfully upgraded during its restoration.

A 12-YEAR LABOR OF LOVE

There is a major difference between a classic car that was restored for resale and one that somebody spent 12 years building for himself with absolutely no intention of selling it.

That's what makes this Chevelle special.

When someone believes they're building their forever car, the decisions tend to be different. The extra time gets spent. The details matter. The little things that might never show up in an advertisement still get addressed.

This Chevelle represents that type of build.

The Cranberry Red exterior, black stripes, big-block power and classic SS appearance give it the presence you'd expect from one of Chevrolet's most iconic muscle cars, while the Tremec 5-speed, Detroit Speed suspension and power accessories make it a car that can actually be enjoyed.

It's not an untouched survivor, and we're not representing it as one.

It's something arguably more usable:

A genuine 1970 Chevelle SS that received a painstaking 12-year restoration and was upgraded by a passionate owner to become his ultimate version of the car.

The list of details and upgrades goes well beyond what we've covered here.

For the buyer looking for a real SS with pedigree, big-block power, a manual transmission, excellent colors and a restoration story you simply can't duplicate today, this is a Chevelle worth taking a very serious look at.
